New Goals: Updates of National Energy Planning Scenarios

In line with the “Fit for 55” legislation package, which puts in place new initiatives with the aim of ensuring that EU policies are adequate to the established climate goals, the EU member states have to update their integrated energy and climate plans. Taking into account the EU framework, the article provides descriptions and estimations concerning the updated Bulgarian national energy system development scenarios in the national Integrated Energy and Climate plan and additional possible scenario. Inferences and conclusions are drawn based on social costs, emissions and other indicators.
