PEHR: A Proxy Re-encryption Based Medical Data Transmission Scheme in PCNs

With the rapid growth of medical data, traditional Electronic Health Records (EHR) face significant challenges in privacy protection and data security, particularly with the notable risk of data leakage during transmission. Although blockchain technology offers new possibilities for the storage of medical data due to its immutability and traceability, it still faces limitations in scalability and transmission efficiency. Therefore, this paper proposes a medical data transmission scheme based on proxy re-encryption, which leverages Payment Channel Networks (PCNs) to enhance the scalability of blockchain storage. At the same time, proxy re-encryption technology is used to securely forward data, combining blockchain and PCNs technologies to achieve data privacy protection, transmission security, and network scalability. By dynamically selecting proxy nodes and utilizing an elliptic curve-based digital signature algorithm, the proposed scheme ensures data integrity and identity authentication while optimizing network performance, making it highly valuable for practical applications.
