Swarm Parameters and Insulation Assessment of Dry Air Considering IoN Kinetics

In this work, we propose an efficient method to determine swarm parameters for dry air from pulsed Townsend experiment (PT), considering ion kinetics, and evaluate its insulation properties based on these parameters. Unlike previous models that only considered ionization and attachment, our model includes four processes: ionization, attachment, electron detachment, and ion conversion. Finally, we re-evaluated the insulating properties of dry air based on these parameters and systematically compared the results with and without considering ion kinetics, analyzing the reasons for the differences.
