Mode-Stirred Chamber as Test Facility for Electromagnetic Susceptibility Measurements

This paper presents the characteristics and usage of a mode-stirred chamber for electromagnetic susceptibility (EMS) measurement. It will be shown how the field inside the chamber is distributed and which degree of field homogeneity is achievable. The structure of the stirrer and its characteristics will be presented. A set-up for EMS testing in the mode-stirred chamber is displayed. The results of the susceptibility measurement of different measurement techniques will be compared to results obtained in an anechoic chamber.
