Design of a Smart Condition Monitoring System of Equipment in the Production Process

The core of the publication is the design of an automated evaluation system for monitoring the state of production equipment, and machines, and the state of the production process by monitoring selected parameters of the manufacturing equipment with an additional sensory subsystem. The idea is to process the data at the level of production process management, so the edge computing technology principles are used. The work is divided into several steps including the description of the monitored process, the selection of key parameters, the design of the method of processing the measured data, and data storage along with the design of the communication infrastructure for the entire system. Example tests in the form of experimental operation on the device under laboratory conditions of the proposal are included. The output of the system can be used as a basic tool for the predictive maintenance process, while the condition state of the equipment is available via an interactive IoT application.
