A Pulse Power Supply and Control Method Based on Superconducting Energy Storage

To reduce the requirement of pulse current sources for industrial distribution capacity, this paper proposes a pulse power supply and its control method based on superconducting energy storage. Considering that superconducting coils require controllable pulse current for energy storage and coil load, both of which serve as current sources, a topology structure for superconducting energy storage charging and discharging circuits is proposed. The selection of main components and the control methods for superconducting charging, self-sustaining and superconducting discharging is introduced. The simulation experiment has verified the correctness of the proposed superconducting energy storage pulse power supply topology and component selection, as well as the feasibility of the control method. It can reduce the industrial distribution capacity to 10^% of the rated capacity and has a promising promotion and application value.
