Detection of Hidden non-Metallic Objects Using Electromagnetic Field

A nondestructive object detection method using an antenna as a sensor with a localized electromagnetic field is proposed. The proposed method uses the traj ectories of the real and imaginary parts of the reflection factor. The proposed method can detect non-metallic objects such as the human body based on the distance between the antenna and target. Additionally, the information regarding whether a target is approaching the antenna source can be determined using the direction of the trajectory. Therefore, the proposed method can detect hidden non-metallic objects even without any information on them.
