Analysis of Two Coupled Grounding Systems: Linear Grounding System and Plate Ground Electrode

The unknown current distribution (UCD), distribution of leakage current density (LCD), self and mutual impedances, and distribution of surface potential for two coupled grounding systems (Linear grounding system: L-GS, and Plate grounding system: P-GS) are presented in this paper. A mathematical model of linear antennas (applied to the L-GS analysis) and so-called method of equivalent electrodes (MEE, applied to the plate ground electrode modelling) are combined to solve this problem. The GSs are driven by separate ideal current generators of power frequency.
