A Survey on Leveraging Technology for Domestic Violence Survivors

Domestic violence, a serious social issue, traps victims in a cycle of fear and control. It can be physical, sexual, emotional, economic, or psychological in nature, and it often escalates over time. It underscores the critical need for prevention efforts aimed at challenging societal norms and providing support services. By utilising technology, a promising avenue to combat domestic violence can be created. This survey mainly aims to analyse various technologies like AI, ML, NLP, DL which can be used to empower victims by providing access to information, resources, and support systems. Finally, this paper proposes a comprehensive solution aimed at tackling domestic violence which will ultimately break the cycle of abuse and fostering safety and independence for individuals affected by domestic violence.
