EV Wireless Charging Empowered By Solar Innovation

The growing demand for sustainable and efficient electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions has led to the exploration of innovative technologies, including wireless charging systems empowered by renewable energy sources. This project focuses on the design and development of a solar-powered wireless charging system for electric vehicles. The system harnesses solar energy through Solar panels, converting the generated DC electricity into AC using an inverter. The AC output is then fed into a transformer, if necessary, to adjust the voltage level before being transmitted through a Transmitter coil embedded beneath the road surface. As the EV passes over the Transmitter coil, a Receiver coil, mounted on the underside of the vehicle, captures the magnetic field generated by the Transmitter coil through electromagnetic induction. This induced AC current in the Receiver coil is then rectified to DC using a rectifier circuit, allowing the energy to be efficiently stored in the vehicle’s battery. This innovative approach not only eliminates the need for physical charging connections but also leverages renewable solar energy, contributing to the reduction of carbon emissions and enhancing the convenience of EV charging. The project addresses key challenges such as optimizing wireless power transfer efficiency, ensuring the safety of electromagnetic fields, and complying with relevant regulations. Through this system, we aim to provide a scalable, environmentally friendly solution that supports the broader adoption of electric vehicles.
