Output Feedback MPC with N Free Control Moves for DC-DC Boost Converter System

This paper studies the output feedback model predictive control (OFMPC) for DC-DC boost converter systems via the N free control moves strategy. First, a new deviation model of DC-DC boost converter system is established to describe the dynamic characteristics of the investigated system. Second, in view of the state observer provided by off-line solving an optimization problem, the OFMPC with N free control moves, which involves splitting the infinite horizon control moves into the single state feedback law in the terminal region and a sequence of free control moves, is presented by minimizing the performance index upper bound respecting the input and state constraints of the DC-DC boost converter system. Finally, the provided algorithm about DC-DC boost converter is validated by simulation experiments.
