Coordinated planning of centralized shared energy storage and distributed generation systems for jointly operated industrial parks

This paper investigates the optimal design of a centralized shared energy storage system and distributed generation systems for jointly operated industrial parks. A mathematical model is developed to determine the optimal capacity and power ratings for the shared energy storage system, as well as for wind and solar generation systems. The model considers both investment costs and the cost of purchasing electricity from the main grid in the objective function and includes key constraints, such as ensuring that each park’s distributed power generation can meet its own energy needs. Simulations comparing independent and joint operation modes demonstrate that shared resource management can significantly enhance efficiency and reduce overall costs. These results provide valuable insights for the design and operation of energy systems in industrial parks.
