Branch Insulation Detection System With Leakage Current Sensors Based on Power/Signal Dual Modulation

The leakage current sensing detection method has a wide range of application in the branch insulation detection in new energy scenarios to ensure the safe and stable operation. However, the existing branch detection system has certain deficiencies in terms of installation and maintenance convenience, system cost and complexity, and alignment convenience. In this paper, a leakage sensing branch circuit insulation detection system based on power/signal dual modulation is proposed, which realizes local detection and alarm through the system structure of host-slaveconcentrator with powerline communication. The transmission between the host and the concentrator is realized bya flyback converter in the host and a buck converter in the concentrator, whose ripple voltage and ripple current are used as the carrier in powerline. It simplifies the system alignment and reduces the cost of the communicationsystem compared with the traditional bus communication method. This communication system can realize full-duplex communication at 20 kbps in simulation, and the effectiveness of the system is verified.
