Internet of Things (IoT): Trends, Challenges, Simulators, Emulators and Test-beds

During the past few years, the deployment and adoption of IoT in the world have increased significantly. The growth rate of IoT increases annually. Researchers today rate the security of IoT to determine its acceptance trend by the public. This paper answers five research questions that show the theme trends for the IoT development, the main challenges of IoT security, and the choice of simulators, emulators, and test-beds used to implement IoT scenarios. A comparison of the available tools/software/simulators that could run the IoT model is presented to give users insight to visualize the working concept of the IoT.
