Smart Waste Management System: The Integration of IoT, Blockchain, Deep Learning and AI Techniques

The main objective of this paper is to offer a detailed description of different models of technological tools like IoT and blockchain that can be used for improving waste management. The models cover predictive analytics based on gas leak detection, humidity measurement, temperature rise, waste generation, and overflows using sensor data. Besides, CNN models are used for waste classification purposes, for distinguishing recyclable from non-recyclable items, and for classifying bags. In order to reply to FAQs on Waste management, the model which combines the NLP and SVM is designed. The backend infrastructure is accomplished by Flask, whereas the frontend has Next.js, which has voice navigation and narration features. As well, wastes are disposed of using the blockchain technology hence one can trace all the waste disposal steps ensuring the data integrity and also preventing theft. In addition, IoT devices are used to provide real-time monitoring and data collection thereby improving the effectiveness and efficiency of waste management processes and make it possible to manage and operate these systems from distant locations. The abstract presents the theoretical framework of the models developed and their application in the different waste management problems, backed up by blockchain and IoT technologies to increase the efficiency, transparency and security.
