Implementation of Automatic Engine Control Mechanism using Bluetooth for IoT Applications

Travel holds a critical role in our daily lives, and with the expanding array of transportation options, incidents like accidents and vehicle thefts are on the rise. To enhance customer safety during vehicle operation, we propose the development of a safety-detecting device. This gadget is designed to automatically deactivate the engine when the driver intends to bring the vehicle to a halt, providing an additional layer of precaution against potential risks. This paper introduces an innovative system integrating alcohol detection technology with an automatic engine control mechanism. The core of our system features a sophisticated alcohol sensor with real-time monitoring capabilities. Employing Bluetooth connectivity, our solution ensures seamless communication between the sensor and the engine control unit. The alcohol sensor, calibrated with a threshold value set at 300, guarantees the stability of the engine status when alcohol levels fall below the predefined limit. This not only enhances safety during transit but also contributes to vehicular stability. The implementation is complemented by graphical representations illustrating alcohol levels, providing a comprehensive visual overview for analysis. Furthermore, the incorporation of Bluetooth technology facilitates the transmission of critical information to IoT platforms, enabling swift and efficient communication of the driver’s status. This connectivity allows for proactive measures to be taken in response to detected alcohol levels above the specified threshold. Our system not only addresses immediate safety concerns but also establishes a foundation for the integration of alcohol detection technologies into broader IoT frameworks. This research contributes significantly to the field by presenting a novel approach to alcohol detection and automatic engine control, emphasizing the synergy between sensor technology and IoT applications.
