Influencing Factors of Flight Interface Complexity and Its Indicator System

As the most direct way for pilots to obtain information, the complexity of the flight interface will directly affect the pilot’s information processing requirements and workload, and then affect the pilot’s judgement and decision-making, thus affecting flight safety. Through literature analysis and focus group meetings, this study sorts out the key influencing factors of flight interface complexity, and initially constructs the indicator system of influencing factors of flight interface complexity. Then, the Delphi method is used to conduct 2 rounds of questionnaire survey on 24 advisory expert groups composed of pilots and ergonomics researchers. Through the statistical analysis of the survey results, the optimization of the indicator system is completed. The final indicator system of flight interface complexity influencing factors consists of 4 primary indicators, 9 secondary indicators and 38 tertiary indicators. The research results can provide guidance for the optimization of flight interface, and have certain reference significance for ensuring flight safety and improving human reliability.
