The Future of Game Development in the Era of Gen AI

The paper proposes a new use case for using GenAI in game development. The value of the paper is to provide a technical concept and design and to create a futuristic workflow to allow every person to create games. Additionally, the authors envision creating a social platform where every person is a game developer and can create, share, edit, and play games. With the proposed architecture, the authors conclude that building games shouldn’t be a niche skill and using Gen AI can reduce the overall time of game development and thereby reducing the cost of Game Development. The paper proposes a new technical architecture that would enable new creators to participate in the game development process while benefiting the existing developers too.
