Research Status and Prospects of Wideband Measurement Technology for New Power Systems

With the large-scale renewable energy access to the power system, the signal state, fault form, and stability state have changed, to cope with this challenge, measurement technology is required to be able to accurately identify the complex signals and deeply perceive the weak signals, to realize the fine and rapid measurement of the full-band information within the fields of power system monitoring, electromagnetic transient protection, equipment intelligence, and power metering. Based on the summary of related literature, the development and application of broadband measurement in these fields are summarized from high-frequency signal sampling, frequency and position sensing, to fault sensing, and then to data transmission, and the future development of broadband measurement is predicted.
