A Novel Coordinated Dispatch Method Considering Hydrogen Energy Storage and Battery Energy Storage System in Distribution Network

The distribution network dispatching with hydrogen energy storage system (HESS) in days cannot adapt to the long-time scale fluctuation of wind power. In addition, the long-time scale storage character of HESS is not fully utilized. So, a coordinated multi time scale dispatching with hydrogen energy storage system and battery energy storage system (BESS) in distribution networks is proposed. Firstly, the mathematic model of HESS and BESS are presented, respectively. Different hydrogen production and power generation time intervals of HESS and BESS are determined based on the fluctuation of wind/ photovoltaic power. Secondly, the coordinated multi time scale dispatching model with HESS and BESS are established to minimize the sum of power losses and wind/photovoltaic curtailment cost. The different time scale fluctuation of wind/photovoltaic power are adapted by determining capacitor switching, status of switches, charging and discharging power of BESS, hydrogen production and power generation of HESS. Finally, the standard IEEE33 distribution network simulation numerical demonstrates that the costs are decreased compared existing methods.
