Optimizing Power Generation in Micro Waste-to-Energy Plant with SP1848 Thermoelectric Generator (TEG): An Experimental Modelling

This journal displays the results of optimizing the Thermoelectric generator (TEG) SP1848SA as a converter of waste heat from burning Waste-To-Energy-Plant waste into electricity. This study aims to find out whether TEG SP1848SA able to produce electrical energy from exhaust heat and become alternative energy. After conducting trials with 20 TEG SP1848SA assembled in series-parallel for 23 minutes, the average temperature difference was 30.3°C, voltage 3.9131V, current 0.406A, and total power 16.2Watt. It should also be noted the utilization of electricity generated, if used for daily life, TEG is quite capable as an alternative to electricity by utilizing step-ups so that the voltage can charge the battery. However, for large-scale use of alternative energy, based on the results of the TEG trial, SP1848SA is still inadequate. Although the electricity generated is small, TEG SP1848SA is able to convert thermal energy into electricity by paying attention to the difference and temperature received.
