Harnessing technology for financial empowerment: A study on digitally driven financial inclusion

The primary purpose of this research is to assess the influence of digitization on financial inclusion in a representative/chosen sample of the population. A thorough analysis of respondents’ financial behavior, attitudes, and preferences elucidates how successful technological advancements are at fostering access to banking systems. The surveys were administered to a representative sample using structured questionnaires to acquire information concerning financial behavior, attitudes, and barriers to financial inclusion through technology. According to the results, large portions of the sample rely on digital means for payment. The findings also state their intention to use financial services if provided with a secure and reliable digitized mode for operating bank accounts. Intriguingly, the sample with a lesser formal education background has difficulty adjusting toward digitalized-based banking services and is willing to adapt if provided with adequate training and education. These findings highlight the issues of the geographical remoteness of the banks, which can be eliminated by prioritizing intervention based on technology. Furthermore, the study acknowledges the need for tailored products and services to address these impediments and strengthen financial inclusion through leveraging technological solutions. In summary, this investigation provides a prized insight into the impact of digitization on financial inclusion; it also provides practical guidelines that policymakers can adopt to facilitate technology-driven initiatives and make them successful.
