Service separation scheme for distributed processing in InfoFlow

The concept of "information flow" has been proposed to alleviate the cloud load and enable real-time information processing without accumulating data. Our proposed InfoFlow system addresses these challenges by leveraging the information flow concept to process real-time data effectively. It achieves distributed processing by circulating information among dispersed IoT devices, allowing real-time data handling. Because a single service spans multiple IoT devices, it is crucial to distribute processing steps across them. This paper introduces a service design tool that supports service separation for distributed processing. The tool features a Graphic User Interface (GUI), enabling ordinary users to manage their services and automatically distribute parts of the processing workload to each IoT device. The experimental results demonstrate that the tool supports various patterns of processing combinations, showcasing its flexibility and effectiveness in handling diverse IoT service scenarios.
