Effective Process Tracking in Horizontally Scalable CYPHONIC Cloud Services

Specific system models utilizing real-time data sharing face challenges in achieving secure inter-device communication due to NAPT, IP version differences, and device mobility. To address these issues, we have been developing the CYber PHysical Overlay Network over Internet Communication (CYPHONIC) to achieve secure end-to-end (E2E) communication, maintain communication connectivity, and ensure transparent mobility. CYPHONIC employs a cloud system to facilitate E2E communication. The CYPHONIC cloud comprises various services designed to scale horizontally as the number of devices increases. However, aggregating logs from numerous instances presents a challenge in tracking processes due to cumbersome and excessive information. This paper proposes a logging functionality for efficient process tracking, extracting relevant information from aggregated logs. Our verification confirms that the proposed method effectively tracks log information for specific processes without degrading CYPHONIC communication performance.
