Reliable Computer Vision With IoT for Fluid Filling Machines

Fluid filling machines are crucial for various industries, ensuring accurate and consistent filling of various types of fluids. They enhance efficiency, save time, reduce errors, and improve overall productivity. However, these machines are vulnerable to common problems such as inaccurate filling amounts, leaks, machine jams, and damaged parts. Addressing these issues promptly is crucial for maintaining optimal operation. A computer vision (CV) algorithm was employed in this research to automate the filling process to provide accurate and reliable results, reducing human error and improving efficiency. This was accomplished using a camera that reads the QR-Code on the bottle, informing it of where the correct fill valve is located. After that, the data is collected and analyzed using the Internet-of-Things (IoT) based on the characteristics of the production line to determine whether it is feasible to implement. A research study conducted in this area indicated that such technology could be effectively applied in such a field with an enhanced and accurate process.
