SaveEcoBot: A Public Information System for Environmental Protection in Ukraine

This paper addresses the challenges citizens face in accessing environmental data due to fragmentation, the lack of a national monitoring system and sometimes even the complete absence of official monitoring. Our independent public environmental information system, SaveEcoBot, aggregates diverse sources of information, offering real-time updates on air quality and radiation levels through an accessible website and chatbots. Since its launch, the system has engaged millions of users during critical environmental events and facilitated over 4,700 pollution complaints. By promoting transparency and public engagement, SaveEcoBot enhances environmental awareness and supports citizens' constitutional rights to a clean and safe environment in Ukraine.
