Evaluation of Potential Capabilities of Radio Electronic Complex System for Detecting Unmanned Aerial Vehicles

The paper presents the approach for design of radio-electronic complex system (RECS) for detection of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) with the usage of radar, optoelectronic, thermal imaging and acoustic systems with specified values of performance indicators in their autonomous use. To evaluate the efficiency of the RECS for UAV detecting, the probability of UAV detection is used as efficiency indicator. To determine it, a discrete-continuous stochastic model of the operational functional behavior of a radio electronic complex system is proposed. This complex system includes radar, optoelectronic or thermal imaging and acoustic systems with algorithm for its functioning. The development of a probabilistic graph of the operational functional behavior of RECS for UAV detection is shown.
