Improving The Delivery Capacity Of Submarine Cable Landing Section By Air And Water Forced Circulation Cooling System

In hot weather, the landing section of submarine cable with poor heat dissipation condition is restricting the delivery capacity of submarine cable lines. In this study, a cooling system with cold air forced circulation and water circulation cooling method is designed for the landing section of submarine cable to overcome the limitation of the delivery capacity. The test of the cooling effect of the test cable trench and submarine cable under the action of forced circulating cooling of cold air is carried out. The results show that air forced cooling system can reduce the cable skin temperature more than 10°C in 5 hours, when the condition of ambient temperature of 28°C to 37°C. Water circulation cooling system can keep the water environment temperature stable when the external heat dissipation environment is extremely bad, reduce the influence of the external heat dissipation environment, reduce the cable conductor temperature 30 °C.
