Evaluation of the Aircraft Thrust Reversers Based on QFD and AHP

The QFD method is applied to the system design evaluation of the aircraft nacelle thrust reverser. Based on the top-level requirements and quality characteristics during the design phase, manufacturing phase, and utilization phase, a detailed analysis is conducted, and quality houses for each phase are constructed for quality function deployment. The AHP method is introduced to calculate the importance of typical requirements, combining expert ratings to obtain a competitive evaluation of requirements and the relevance of typical quality characteristics. This establishes a scientific evaluation system for the design, manufacturing, and usage phases of the nacelle thrust reverser with different emphasis and attention. Using the design of a domestic thrust reverser as an example, a comparison is made with foreign competitive models of the same type. The strengths and weaknesses of the thrust reverser are analyzed, and improvement directions are proposed.
