Exploring the Impact of Shading on the Efficiency of Photovoltaic Panels - Part I

The integration of photovoltaic systems as a source of renewable energy has seen significant growth in recent years due to global sustainability goals. However, the efficiency of these systems is highly influenced by environmental factors, of which shading has been identified as a significant concern. Shading, caused by natural obstacles or man-made structures, can significantly reduce the electricity generation capacity of photovoltaic panel by reducing the amount of solar irradiance incident on the panel's surface. This part of the study aims to investigate the effects of environmental factors on photovoltaic panel performance, focusing on parameters such as output power, voltage and electrical current, as well as efficiency. Through a series of computational simulations and experimental measurements, the research quantifies their impact under different conditions, providing a comprehensive analysis of how these environmental variables influence the operation of photovoltaic panels.
