Short-Circuit Currents in 6-500 kV Electrical Networks Containing Cable Lines

The article analyzes the impact of the cable line active-inductive impedances on short-circuit currents of the network. The use of correct parameters of cables, taking into account all the influencing factors, shows that in the high-voltage cable networks, the real currents of three-phase and single-phase short-circuits can be up to 30% higher than values possessed by the specialized software.
