Management of Electric Energy through Demand-Side Resources

Demand Side Management (DSM) entails organizing the activities of demand side resources (DSRs) to achieve a desired alteration in the load shape, ultimately enhancing electric power services. These resources undergo scheduling and optimization to fulfill diverse objectives, such as cost minimization or maximizing consumer paybacks, and also to the atmosphere, while ensuring the delivery of high-quality electric energy services. The aim of this paper is to furnish foundational knowledge to facilitate the expansion of processes for optimum forecasting in Homebased Energy Management, Structure Energy Management (SEM), and Energy Management based distribution system to meet specified objectives.
