Implementation Method for Real-Time Simulation of Synchronous Power Grid Across Parallel Computers Based on HYPERSIM

In the process of New-type power system construction, the behavior of interconnected power grids has undergone significant changes compared to traditional ones. In order to study the mutual influence between regional grids precisely with real-time simulation tools, it is necessary to break through the computing capability of a single parallel computer and to study the joint simulation of multiple hardware simulation platforms to make further improvement on the simulation scale. This article proposes a real-time simulation method for synchronous interconnected power grids across parallel computers. The AC transmission line is used as the decoupling interface, and the power systems on both sides of the line are calculated on two supercomputers. The communication mode is optimized, and data and synchronization signals are transmitted through I/O devices. Stable and accurate delay measurement values are compensated into the model, achieving cross platform real-time simulation. The method was validated through a small test system, and the results showed that the simulated waveforms of the dual platform and single platform highly overlapped, indicating the feasibility of the method.
