A Modular Distributed Operating System Architecture for Scalable Mesh Topologies

Operating systems mediate user-device interactions, crucially managing resources, software execution, and application interfaces. In the face of technological advancements, the demand for secure, resilient, and scalable operating systems grows. This paper introduces a novel modular and decentralized operating system architecture, emphasizing robustness, scalability, and advanced parallel processing. The proposed mesh architecture diverges from conventional kernel designs, distributing responsibilities across nodes to eliminate a central point of failure, enhancing scalability and fortifying fault tolerance. The study advocates for a mesh-based operating system adaptable to diverse microprocessor platforms.
