Evolution of the Italian Retail Market for Non-Household Customers in the Electricity Sector

This article presents an analysis of the main dynamics of the retail electricity market for non-household final customers. Starting from the evolution of the Italian regulatory framework, it analyses the consistency of the Italian retail market for this type of customer. It describes in detail the two new gradual standard offer services available to non-household consumers in the electricity sector, after the removal of the greater protection service for these customers and compares Italian prices for non-household customers to corresponding European prices. Lastly, it lists the main tools available to customers.
