Attitudes and Perspectives for Installing EV Charging Station: A Case Study at Isra University, Jordan

Jordan has significantly increased investment in the electric vehicle (EV) sector. The charging stations should be installed in most of Jordanian's public areas to cope with the rapid rise of EVs. This study highlights the potential of installing EV chargers at Isra University, Jordan. A survey was conducted to study participants' preferences and attitudes regarding different financial and functional factors of EVs. Cronbach's alpha is used in this study as the most widely used method for estimating internal consistency reliability. The results showed that the daily distance traveled, including respondents' trips to Isra University, has significant results with the current ownership or potential of buying an EV within the next five years. Also, according to the criteria that respondents take into account when selecting a vehicle, the most important factor is the distance the vehicle covers on a single charge (31.3%) and the cost (23.9%).
