Assessment of Potential Studies Mini Hydro Power Plant in the Energy Transition Era

The Indonesian government plans to build power plants and establish new grids based on the National Electricity Supply Business Plan (RUPTL 2021–2033). Several steps have been taken to accelerate demand growth and increase Indonesia's electrification ratio. These efforts align with the Indonesian government's commitment to participate actively in the Paris Agreement by issuing Presidential Regulation No. 22 of 2017 on the National Energy General Plan (RUEN), setting a target of23 % renewable energy by 2025. With a capacity of 405.9 kW, the hydrological analysis method was used in previous studies to investigate renewable energy potential. Through the Evaluation of Research Criteria for Potential Studies, this study seeks to determine whether the Katulampa dam is suitable for constructing a mini-hydro power plant. The assessment result achieved a total score of 2.95, indicating a low score to be a priority for a mini hydro power plant. This suggests that planning for a mini hydro power plant in Katulampa, Bogor district is likely not viable and will not be prioritized for a mini hydro power plant.
