Performance Analysis of Polarization Interleaving Visible Light Communication (PIVLC) System

This project explored the use of polarization interleaving (PI) in Visible Light Communication (VLC) systems to meet the demands of high-speed data transmission for next-generation networks. VLC, a transformative wireless communication technology, has the potential to complement traditional radio frequency communications and enable new applications, such as high-speed downlink communications in residential and office environments, precise indoor positioning, and innovative retail solutions. To address these requirements, a high-speed VLC system incorporating PI was developed, enhancing data transmission rates for improved performance. The system performance was evaluated by investigating bit rates ranging up to 10 Gbps, with a focus on achieving a bit-error-rate (BER) below 10-⁹. The PI technique helps to improve the speed of data rate transmission for better performance.
