Design of Compound Eye Imaging System Based on Multi-Focal Surface

With the development and improvement of microfabrication equipments and process technologies, the preparation and application of the micrometer sized optical devices have become an significant field to research and optical imaging systems are also pursuit integration, miniaturization and high performance. This paper focus on the practical requirements of biomimetic compound eye imaging systems and large field of view imaging. Research is carried out from the following aspects of multi focal length structure design of imaging systems, preparation of multi focal length sub eyes, surface replication and transfer techniques and large field of view stitching of multi-image. The method for multi focal surface compound eyes and a preparation method to combining non-contact hot pressing and elastic mold conversion, completing the small volume packing integration of the biomimetic compound eye imaging system, which can meet the requirements of synchronous image stitching and real-time target shooting. A surface transfer and replication method using elastic mold transfer and molding by pressure difference, achieving precise and reliable surface transfer and replication molding.
