Demonstration of Reconfigurable Microring-Based Silicon Optical Switch for Optical Fronthaul

We demonstrate an $8\times 8$ optical fronthaul switching system that combines real-time data and control functions. It attains >40dB RF and >10dB optical dynamic range, facilitating both switching and multicasting within a single silicon switch fabric.
