Signal Processing from Sensors and Data Processing Using a Probability Model

The article is focused on the practical implementation of signal processing during the transmission of coded messages through a laser system in distance measurement and data transmission using new progressive technologies and complex processing of information from sources and sensors using a probabilistic model. The aim of the work was the experimental verification of signal processing during distance measurement using the method of signal processing with the help of a probabilistic model and a standardized entropy estimation process after digitization of the received signals. The article describes the previously presented method of processing signals using a probabilistic model and its application in processing signals from sensors on the battlefield in determining the location of enemy targets and their identification using the recognition system – Identification Friendly or Foe (IFF) for Command, Control, Communications, Computers Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems. For the experiment, a laser module was designed to ensure the transmission of coded messages through a system with a laser signal detector to ensure data transmission and IFF recognition. The processing of signals during distance measurement was experimentally verified using the method of processing signals with the help of a probabilistic model and a standardized process of entropy estimation after digitization of the received signals. The application of laser modules to broadcast data in a laser communication channel expands the communication capabilities of a soldier or unit and to transmit information in tactical training systems and live simulation training systems.
