Optimization Design of Gate Rrigger Circuit of Thyristor Triggered by Converter Valve

UHVDC power grid has a series of advantages, such as large transmission capacity, small loss and long transmission distance. It is an important carrier of large capacity long-distance transmission in a strong smart grid framework. As the core equipment of UHVDC transmission, UHVDC converter valve is the core functional unit to realize AC and DC power conversion, and its operation reliability largely determines the operation reliability of UHVDC power grid. The thyristor is the core equipment in the converter. When the thyristor bears forward voltage, it needs enough energy to generate trigger pulse. The operation state of thyristor directly affects the stability of DC transmission system. In this paper, the principle of gate trigger circuit of electrically triggered thyristor is analyzed and optimized. Through simulation analysis and hardware circuit test, the trigger effect of this circuit without delay is verified.
