Automatic Railway Signalling System for Accident Prevention

This project proposes the notable advancement in the domain of train collision avoidance systems, demonstrating its potential for widespread implementation in modern railway networks. The integration of ultrasonic sensor technology in railway systems has revolutionized the way distance and direction between trains are monitored. Two trains equipped with ultrasonic sensors for detecting the distance between them. If the first train’s speed is high and it detects that the distance to the second train is too short, it initiates an alert. Then Second train signal turns to red. The alert is displayed on an LCD screen to notify the first train’s operated automatically. First train signal turns to green. If the second train’s speed is high and it detects that the distance to the first train is too short, it initiates an alert. The alert is displayed on an LCD screen to notify the second train’s operator. First train signal turns on red LED. Then Second train signal turns on green LED.
