Real-Time Prototype Design for Secure Coin and Currency Recognition System for Hundi using Object Detection Algorithms

This research offers an idea for an intelligent hundi system that will transform traditional donation practices by utilizing cutting-edge technology. There are several benefits to the hundi, a donation box commonly found at charitable events and places of worship, when computer vision and Internet of Things capabilities are added. First, the technology uses sophisticated image recognition algorithms to precisely identify and authenticate various coin and money denominations deposited into the hundi. This suggests that donors just need to place their cash in the appropriate slot. The kind and value of each denomination will be automatically determined by the system through the use of a combination of algorithms, including R-CNN, YOLO (You Only Look Once), and Single-Shot Detector (SSD). Second, the integration of IoT technology allows for a seamless connection between the hundi and a computer or mobile device. When donations are made, the recognised values are transmitted in realtime to a pre-designated device, allowing for immediate tracking and display of the entire amount donated.
