An Electric Motor Controlling and Assessment using PID based Particle Swarm Optimization

This article presents the optimal controlling of the induction motor using PID based particle swarm optimization (PSO). The speed and torque controlling of induction motor under the different loading conditions is one of the greatest challenges for the researchers. In order to overthrown these challenges, an objective function has been framed by considering all the constraints limits. It begins with the mathematical modeling of induction motor with PID controller as a key component. The objective function will be designed in terms of speed, torque, voltage and constraint variables. Further, this objective function is trained by using particle swarm optimization. It is observed that optimal reduced value of settling time, peak overshoot of the speed and torque of induction motor under the different loading conditions will be obtained with PSO
