Evaluation of Fast Stirring Methods for Direct Field Strength Control in a Reverberation Chamber

This paper focuses on the fast measurement and direct control of electromagnetic fields in a reverberation chamber. Electric field probes with a high sampling rate are used for this purpose. The aim is to find an optimum operating state of the reverberation chamber for a continuous change of the electromagnetic boundary conditions. Two rotating stirrers and a movable, conductive textile are used for this task. The homogeneity, isotropy and statistical distribution of the field as well as and stirrer efficiency are taken into account of the analysis. In addition, an active field control method for immunity testing without prior chamber loading validation is performed and analyzed based on field statistical parameters.
