Designing and Analyzing a Voltage- Controlled Oscillator for the Front End

These devices are designed to intended to generate an output signal whose frequency fluctuates with the voltage amplitude of an input signal. The basic principle behind voltage-controlled oscillator is that an oscillator circuit's resonant frequency is controlled by a voltage in the fundamental idea of a voltage control oscillator (VCO). The oscillator's output frequency can be changed by adjusting the control voltage. In this paper we implement the circuit design of the Voltage Controlled Oscillator and analyze the different characteristics of voltage-controlled oscillator. Here we used Complementary MOS technique with GPDK90nm technology. The output sinusoidal waveform with frequency of 935Mhz is obtained. VCO are mostly used in the communication system especially wireless communication. Hence, they have huge application in digital communication. The stimulation of the circuit is done by using cadence tool.
