Blockchain based Authentication Techniques for Internet of Medical Things

The Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) is a rapidly expanding field in the healthcare industry, aimed at improving patient care. It strives to accomplish this by combining network technology with medical equipment. Nevertheless, serious security and privacy issues are raised by integration, especially affecting authentication of the patient data stored in the cloud storage system. Block-chain technology is unchangeable and decentralized, and hence becomes an efficient solution to mitigate the above problems. Many blockchain-based authentication methods for IoMT are investigated. This survey examines various blockchain based authentication techniques along with their efficacy, scalability, and flexibility, thus evaluating their contributions to safe and effective authentication procedures for IoMT. To demonstrate real-world applications and results, comparative analysis is explored. In order to improve the security and dependability of IoMT systems, this study aims to assist researchers in creating blockchain-based authentication methods by offering an in-depth review.
