The Fine Deodorization Experiment of Pulse Corona Discharge Technology on the Odor of Food Waste

The odor of food waste was a major factor that endangers the body of the masses. The existing process did not completely control the odor. In order to achieve the purpose of fine deodorization, a food waste treatment station in Hangzhou was chosen. The pulsed electropulsing treatment process was introduced at the end of the existing biofilter process to treat the odor, and the effects of the end fillers of different corona discharge plasma on the odor treatment were tested. After testing, the single-stage corona discharge plasma can remove 81.72% of the odor concentration and 65.12% of the NH3 without fillers. The odor removal rate of the corona discharge plasma system filled with activated carbon reached 89.99%, and the average NH3 removal rate was 75.57%. The corona discharge plasma system filled with honeycomb ceramic fillers removed the most odor and NH3, which removed 94.04% and 81.48% respectively, achieving the purpose of fine deodorization.
