Creation of Synchronous Wind Generators Size Spectrum for the Russian Arctic Region

Various methods of creating a power size spectrum R10 of permanent magnets synchronous wind generators for Russia Arctic region in the range of 400-1250 kW have been investigated. Synchronous generators realize the well-known advantages of concentrated windings over distributed windings and the magnetic flux concentration. The synchronous generator of 800 kW power is selected as the base machine. For a size spectrum of wind generators with a single-stage gearbox, a pattern of changes in the generators rotation frequency has been obtained. It is established that the required power size spectrum is realized at three diameters, six lengths and three rotational speeds. By choosing two values of the base rotation speed, two size spectra are obtained. The geometric dimensions and electromagnetic parameters regularities of a combined size spectrum of 12 generators are investigated.
